Neil is a 35 year veteran of the IT industry. He is the former global CIO of Unilever plc one of the largest CPG companies in the world. He left Unilever after seven years, where he was the first IT professional to hold the position of CIO. Through his tenure he transformed the IT organisation from a highly federated model of over 100 separate organisations into one global IT function. In order to achieve the goals of this transformation and to enable the delivery of the business strategy, Neil has driven a number of £billion programmes pioneering the use of innovative outsourcing approaches.
He is currently is a member of the cross industry board of advisors for HP, a member of the advisory board of The Leading Edge Forum and a non-Executive member of the board of Which? The consumer affairs champion. He has previously been a board member of e-Skills UK, Chair of UK CIO Summit and co-Chair of the Global CIO Summit.
Previous positions he has held have been - global CIO Diageo plc, Global IS Director Guinness ltd and CIO North America Marks & Spencer plc.
